This position is the General Manager of the Woodbridge, Ontario facility.
Overview Scope of Responsibility:
· The General Manager has full responsibility for:
o Total revenue approximately US $ 14 Million
o Supports the Canadian Nuclear Business
o Supports the Canadian After-Market Parts Business
o Total Headcount approximately 28 employees
-Ensure safety standards aremaintained at the highest level possible:
Year over year improvement ofTotal Recordable Rate score with Zero Lost Time Accidents. 2. Ensure on timemonthly completion of Pure Safety training for all employees with participationat 100%. Ensure 100% training within 30 days for new employees.
Successful Safety Health andEnvironmental Affairs audit that shows year over year improvement in all threecategories, with no scores below 98%.
12 monthly safety committeemeetings; 50 documented weekly toolbox talks, 12 documented monthlyinspections.
-Provide leadership and direction tothe business to ensure the annual business plan, including P&L and balancesheet objectives are met or exceeded.
- Actively partner with leadership,thereby having a strong influence on the operations and strategy of the team.
-Partner with Regional and DistrictSales developing strong working relationship
-Develop and implement capitalspending plans that meet the ongoing needs of the business for facility,equipment and productivity improvements.
-Attract, identify, develop andretain organization/department talent in an ongoing effort to support thetalent management philosophy. This includes all facets of talent acquisition,performance management, succession planning, and employee learning anddevelopment.
-Drive a high performance culture bycascading objectives to all direct reports, ensuring all employees have SMARTobjectives and accountabilities recorded on Performance Management forms inadvance of corporate deadlines.
-Set team goals by reviewing jobperformance expectations regularly and providing informal/formal feedbackcontinuously.
-Continuously evaluate the businessstructure and staffing levels to ensure the business resources reflect currentmarket conditions and demand for products and services. Establish contingencyplans to enable effective and efficient deployment as necessary.
-Develop and implement processimprovements, which continuously improve on-time delivery, reduce operating andproduct costs and reduce product lead times.
-Establish and maintain a controlenvironment that meets or exceeds country and local laws and regulations, aswell as meeting or exceeding the company’s ethical standards.
-Interface with customers, suppliersand internal teams to raise the bar in supply chain management by transformingthe company’s SCM and delivery capabilities from a product-driven to a service-drivenapproach.
-Act as a catalyst to support change initiativesin concert with the senior management team.
-Participate in strategic andbusiness planning and in setting business goals and objectives for the Servicesand Solutions team.

-A Bachelor’s degree is required,
preferably in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
-Minimum of eight years management
experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in industrial pump or
-Minimum of 3 years in a machine shop
with conventional machinery
-Proven record of safety performance
in a manufacturing plant.
-Extensive product and process
knowledge of rotating equipment.
-Working level of market knowledge
(chemical, water, power, oil & gas, general industrial).
-$12+ million Sales + P&L
-Within a manufacturing environment,
experience in supply chain, operations, purchasing, planning, materials
management, customer service, inside sales (quotes), engineering,
management and field services.
-High level of collaboration and
interaction with outside sales force.
