Bachelor degree in business (or related field) preferred.
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment can substitute for BS degree.
3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing including supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience and application of safety procedures resulting in a safe working environment for employees.
Ability to develop and analyze reports and charts using Microsoft Office software.
Ability to analyze data in order to identify trends and create corrective actions.
Essential understanding of various manufacturing processes.
Must be able to multitask and work in a production environment that has multiple product changeovers.
Proven interpersonal and communication skills required.
Ability to drive change, hold employees accountable, and experience in collaborating with internal customers to reach production goals.
Proven experience in coaching and developing teams ensuring departmental goals of safety, quality, production, and cost are met while maintaining an atmosphere of trust and positive morale.
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor in our Cookeville, TN location, a manufacturing facility with a highly engaged workforce producing various valves for a number of industries. Production Supervisors direct activities of the department in the areas of Production, Inventory management, and Quality Control. These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.
Plan, schedule and assign personnel to complete projects on time, at or below cost, at a high standard of quality, in a safe and productive manner.
In additional to daily communication, must hold weekly information meetings with employees.
Responsible for maintaining a clean production floor and equipment.
Manage timekeeping responsibilities including employee schedules, time-off requests, attendance tracking, etc.
Provide employee corrective coaching and maintain sufficient documentation to support such action.
Develop and drive Continuous Improvement related initiatives.
Work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
Drive process improvements and cost reduction efforts
Ability to drive multiple priorities and tasks concurrently.
Industrial valve manufacturing experience is a plus.
Knowledge and successful LEAN implementation is a plus.
