Position Description:

Instructional Designer/Developer

The Instructional Designer/Developer will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of internal courseware, up to and including developing content using authoring software. Reporting to the Manager of Instructional Design and Development within the Strategic Talent Development group, the Instructional Designer/Developer will act as a project lead supporting our online learning strategy for global talent development.


  • Foster and influence key stakeholder relationships with HR, and business leaders to consult and develop programs for learning and development needs.

  • Create and drive cutting edge digital solutions adaptable for the enterprise applying best practices, measurable effectiveness, and impact on performance while ensuring global implementation considerations are embedded.

  • Ensure programs are business-relevant, scalable, consumable, and cost efficient.

  • Lead projects and effectively promote learning solutions.

  • Consult leadership and users with course strategy to support development goals.

  • Work efficiently and accurately on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines, completing projects on schedule.

  • Manage activities and deliverables from needs assessment, roadmap/conceptual design, resource allocation, pilot, preparation and implementation to logistics management and post-training evaluation.

  • Monitor timeline traction and critical risk indicators making adjustments as needed to ensure successful implementation while remaining on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional systems design, course development and delivery, and/or assessment and augmentation of workforce development initiatives and associated programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Computer Science, Human Resource Management or related field preferred.

  • Use of Articulate Storylinek, Captivate, Camtasia or other design software required.

  • Demonstrated capability in consulting, project management and program implementation required.

  • Proven facilitation in both in-person and remote forums.

  • Experience designing for a global audience preferred.
